Technical advice
Our service team requires the following information when you order tires:
- Intended use (circuit, mountain or slalom)
- Details of the vehicle
- Rim size (diameter and width)
- Tire dimensions
- Tire profile and type
- Required quantity
Delivery time
Please order the desired racing tires in good time. Due to the large number of tread variants and compounds, we cannot guarantee that all versions will be available at short notice. Longer delivery times are therefore unavoidable in some cases.
General information
Rims
The rim size has a decisive influence on the interaction of the two components wheel/tyre and thus on the handling of a vehicle. The rim widths specified by us must therefore neither be exceeded nor fallen short of.
Dimension
The width and nominal diameter of the rims used determine the possible tire sizes. In addition, the corresponding tire dimension may be prescribed by the technical regulations.
If different tire sizes can be fitted, the decision depends on the type of application (e.g. the gear ratio and thus also the engine speed is changed via the rolling circumference of the tire).
The first two numbers of the dimension designation indicate the width of the tread and the outer diameter of the tire in cm.
Rubber compound
When selecting the rubber compound for the respective tires, all conditions of use should be taken into account as far as possible. These include
- Type, length and characteristics of the route
- Duration of the competition
- Technical regulations
- Drive system concept
- Mounting axis position
- Weight of vehicle
- Engine power
- Weather conditions etc.
Air pressure
The air pressure for racing tires depends on many factors and therefore cannot be shown in a table.
